Simmons is a joke. It's clear he has no idea what he's talking about, or that he is aware of his own cognitive dissonance. The best part is when he takes child like offense to being criticized. Bold faced lies in the face of contradictions.

That program was brutal, Dr. Myers wiped the walls with Simmons at every turn. Simmons' ignorance of the fossil record, misuse of the word "theory," and misrepresentations of both Darwin's work and modern biological science weren't just enough to give PZ an easy win, but to make many listeners wonder if Simmons wasn't just a plant put on the show to make creationists look even worse. It's a shame there wasn't more time for the program, after Simmons wandered into Dr. Myers' wheelhouse with his misunderstandings of the brain, I would have liked to see where the beatdown would go next.
